Job Description

Are you a passionate, client-centered attorney who thrives in the courtroom and wants to grow your career in family law? We are seeking a dedicated Family Law Attorney to join our Staten Island practice and support clients through some of the most important moments in their lives. This is an in-person role offering meaningful work, strong mentorship, and long-term growth potential.

About the Role

You will handle a variety of family law matters, including contested and uncontested divorces, and represent clients regularly in Family Court. This position is ideal for an attorney who is confident in court, eager to build expertise in family law, and committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality legal support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in Family Court proceedings, including conferences, motions, and hearings, and Supreme Court cases
  • Handle divorce matters, including uncontested and contested cases
  • Meet with clients to assess legal needs and provide clear, practical guidance
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and correspondence
  • Manage cases from intake through resolution
  • Maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and professionalism
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn, grow, and deepen expertise in family law

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active New York State Bar admission (required)
  • 3–5 years of experience in family law and Family Court preferred
  • Experience with divorce matters (including uncontested divorces)
  • Comfortable appearing in court on a regular basis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized, reliable, and client-focused
  • Recent graduates with strong interest in family law will also be considered

Compensation & Work Environment

  • Salary range: $120,000–$130,000, commensurate with experience
  • In-person position based in Staten Island, NY
  • Supportive team environment with opportunity for professional growth
